Neo Jönsson, who recently joined FC Köpenhamn, played this season in newly started Maj FC. Because of the newly started club, they were unable to play in the highest national league, but in friendlies and tournaments they competed against the top teams in Sweden. Whether playing against the top teams or not, the technical skill and football brain Neo possesses is hard to miss. The effective left footed right winger is becoming the standard in international football, and in Neo you find a player who fits in that profile. As you can guess, he likes cutting in with his left foot and is very dangerous when doing that, but in his case he can also go on the outside of the defender as smoothly, and hit dangerous cut-backs from the right flank.
Born: 2007
Club: FC Köpenhamn (recently moved from Maj FC)
Position: RW
Approximate height: 168-173 cm
Approximate weight: 61-66 kg
Best foot: Left
Characteristics
Good dribbler 1v1, chance creator – last pass
Technical
The technical skill of Neo is at a high level. First of all, his dribbling is special where he drives directly towards his opponents with good close control to the ball, and is very good at waiting for the opponent to come close, and then move away by either cutting inside or going on the outside of the opponent. Often when moving away from his opponent, he is good at doing something constructive in the next situation by looking up and for example hit a good through ball to a forward, or like mentioned above, hit a cut-back after going past on the outside of the defender. This makes him an effective offensive player where he is not only good at getting past his opponent, but also at creating chances right after that.
Physical
Not a physical player and rarely gets into situation where he have to use his strength. A player that uses his understanding of the game to come first in situations where he can be the ball carrier and dictate the game. When coming up to maximum speed a quick player.
Psychologic
A confident player that knows what he brings to the game and is not afraid to ask for the ball in tight situations, and also demanding from his team mates when needed.
Tactical
Although he is most dangerous when coming from the right side with his left foot, he has also played as a forward and posseses good movement without the ball, where he can come deep as a false nine and threaten from central positions, but also run to receive through balls. Left wing should not be a problem either because of his good understanding of the game.
